From The South (M6) Travel North on the M6 past Carlisle and join the M74 at the Border at Gretna. After crossing the Border take the 2nd exit to your left and follow the sign A75 Dumfries/Stranraer (* if you miss this junction continue North to Lockerbie and take the A709 road to Dumfries). Continue along this road for approx. 25 miles. (Remain on by-pass to avoid town of Annan.) On the outskirts of Dumfries you will see the Little Chef Cafe and Petrol Station to your left. At the Roundabout just beyond the Little Chef (disregard the first exit for Dumfries town centre) take the 2nd exit (by-pass) on your left, and continue to the next roundabout and take the first exit. The Huntingdon House is situated approx. 1 mile from this roundabout and is the first hotel on your left as you enter Dumfries. From the North Travel South on the M74 to Lockerbie. At Lockerbie take the A709 road to Dumfries. (St. Mary's Street is more or less a continuation of the A709. The Huntingdon House is the first hotel on your left as you enter Dumfries in St Mary's Street, & lies 150 meters from Railway Station. From North Travel along the A76 to roundabout on the outskirts of Dumfries (A75 bypass). Take the first exit and travel along the bypass to the second roundabout (A709 Lockerbie junction) and take the 3rd exit. The Huntingdon House is the first hotel on your left as you enter Dumfries.
